Essentia, part of Guy\’s and St Thomas\’ NHS Foundation Trust, is seeking to recruit Senior Project Managers to play a key role within its Estate Development function. One of the largest NHS Trusts in the country with around 22,700 staff, Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust comprises five of the UK’s best-known hospitals – Guy’s, St Thomas’, Evelina London Children’s Hospital, Royal Brompton and Harefield – as well as community services in Lambeth and Southwark, all with a long history of high-quality care, clinical excellence, research and innovation. This encompasses everything from construction projects and healthcare planning to waste management, housekeeping, transport and security. Essentia employs around 1,900 people, who provide essential support to clinical teams working across the acute hospital of Guy’s and St Thomas’, Royal Brompton and Harefield as well as the South East London Community and other partner Trusts. The Senior Project Manager role is responsible for the successful implementation of a portfolio of diverse projects including estates refurbishment, strategic and long-term maintenance, engineering, compliance and decarbonisation schemes. The role holder will act as the GSTT client and proactively lead external teams to deliver projects to time, budget and quality standards, accountable for and managing the project programme delivery processes through all RIBA stages. We are seeking individuals with demonstrable experience of leading the procurement and delivery of refurbishment, maintenance and engineering projects in a complex estate setting. Experience of delivering projects in live, operational, critical environments would be particularly advantageous.
