Role Overview
The firm is seeking a talented Bridging Finance Solicitor with a minimum of 1 year PQE to join their expanding team. You will manage a varied caseload of bridging finance transactions from instruction through to post-completion, ensuring legal compliance and the highest standards of client care. This role offers exposure to a wide range of residential and commercial property matters within a fast-moving, specialist environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a full caseload of bridging finance transactions, including:
- Freehold and leasehold acquisitions and disposals
- Remortgages and refinancing
- Transfers of equity
- Lease extensions
- Liaise with brokers, lenders, valuers, and clients to progress matters efficiently.
- Draft and review loan agreements, security documents, and related paperwork.
- Conduct due diligence and manage risk on behalf of lender clients.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and anti-money laundering requirements.
- Provide support to junior team members and contribute to knowledge sharing.
- Maintain and build strong client relationships, assisting with business development where required.
Qualifications & Skills
- Qualified Solicitor with at least 1 year PQE in bridging finance.
- Experience with development finance or buy-to-let portfolios.
- Familiarity with lender-side representation and institutional clients.
- Knowledge of the Building Safety Act and its implications for property transactions.
- Strong drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple transactions in a fast-paced environment.
