Role Overview

We are seeking a confident and capable Bridging Finance Solicitor with at least 1 year of post-qualified experience. You will manage a full caseload of bridging finance matters from instruction to post-completion and work closely with brokers, lenders, developers, and institutional clients. This role is ideal for a solicitor looking to work on fast-paced, high-value transactions in a supportive and growing legal environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle a wide range of bridging finance transactions, including:
  • Freehold and leasehold acquisitions and disposals
  • Remortgages and refinancing deals
  • Transfers of equity and lease extensions
  • Draft and review loan agreements, security documentation, and ancillary paperwork
  • Conduct property due diligence and manage associated risk for lender clients
  • Liaise with brokers, lenders, valuers, and clients to progress transactions efficiently
  • Ensure full compliance with regulatory, anti-money laundering, and professional standards
  • Maintain accurate file records and timelines to ensure smooth completions
  • Support junior team members and contribute to training and knowledge sharing
  • Assist in developing and maintaining strong client relationships, contributing to wider business development initiatives

Candidate Profile

  • Qualified solicitor with a minimum of 1 year’s PQE in bridging finance or real estate law
  • Strong technical understanding of short-term lending transactions
  • Familiarity with development finance and buy-to-let portfolio transactions
  • Experience acting for lender clients and managing institutional relationships
  • Solid knowledge of due diligence requirements and current regulatory obligations
  • Awareness of the Building Safety Act and its impact on real estate deals is desirable
  • Excellent communication, drafting, and client-handling skills
  • Strong organisational abilities with a commercial and proactive approach
