A Finance Business Partner is required for a Private Equity backed Telecoms business
£65,000 – £75,000, dependant on experience
As the Finance Business Partner, you will play a pivotal role in driving cost management and financial performance within a fast-growing, private equity-backed technology business.
You will partner closely with heads of shared functions providing insightful financial analysis, forecasting, and budgeting to support operational and strategic decision-making.
This role blends hands-on finance business partnering with process improvement and automation initiatives, focusing on enhancing cost visibility, accuracy of financial data, and enabling scalable financial controls. You will have the opportunity to influence key stakeholders across a dispersed, multi-location team, lead ad hoc projects to mature finance processes, and contribute to building a cohesive, high-performing finance function in a dynamic, evolving environment
Responsibilities shall include but not be limited to;
- Own the cost management process, including month-end reviews, forecasting, and budgeting to ensure accurate financial control and reporting.
- Act as a finance business partner to shared service functions such as IT, facilities, HR, legal, and operations, providing insightful analysis and support for their financial performance.
- Develop and maintain financial models and reports that provide clear visibility of costs by category, supplier, and business unit, highlighting trends and variances.
- Lead ad hoc projects focused on process improvements, automation, and change management to mature the finance function and support business growth.
- Provide timely, credible financial insights to senior leadership, ensuring accuracy and confidence in the numbers presented to the executive team.
- Build strong relationships across a dispersed, multi-location finance and operational team to facilitate collaboration and effective business partnering.
In order to succeed in the role;
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
- Strong commercial awareness and the ability to build effective relationships with operational leaders, particularly across shared services such as IT, facilities, HR, legal, and operations.
- Proven skills in budgeting, forecasting, cost management, and financial analysis, with a focus on driving accuracy and business performance improvements.
- Comfortable working closely with multiple stakeholders at various levels, including exact minus one and minus two layers, across dispersed teams and locations.
- Ability to navigate a fast-paced, evolving environment with competing priorities, demonstrating resilience and adaptability.
- Proficient in using BI tools, Excel, and financial systems such as NetSuite to extract, analyse, and present financial and operational data clearly and accurately.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, confident engaging with senior leadership and stakeholders across different functions and locations.
- Proactive, inquisitive, and solutions-oriented mindset, with a willingness to challenge the status quo and drive process improvements and automation initiatives.
