We are working for a passionate supplier of nutritional supplements. Our client is a fast-growing player in the health and wellness space, who provide high-quality supplements and nutrition products that their customers trust and love. We are now seeking a driven and commercially minded Product Buyer to join their dynamic team and play a key role in shaping their product offering.
Salary: 60k + bonus + bens
Location: Remote with travel in the UK, Europe and the US
The Role
As our Product Buyer , you\’ll take ownership of sourcing and developing a compelling and innovative product range within the supplements and nutrition category. Working closely with suppliers, product development, and marketing teams, you’ll ensure that our range meets customer needs, quality standards, and commercial goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, source, and negotiate with suppliers to procure high-quality supplement and nutrition products.
- Travel to the US when required to research, meet and building relationships with crucial suppliers.
- Manage product lifecycle from sourcing through launch, ensuring on-time delivery and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer insights to inform product selection and innovation.
- Build strong supplier relationships to optimize costs, quality, and supply chain reliability.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (R&D, Quality, Marketing, Ecommerce) on product launches and go-to-market strategies.
- Manage inventory levels, forecasts, and purchasing budgets in line with business goals.
- Monitor product performance, adjusting buying strategies to improve margin and turnover.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in a buying or procurement role, preferably in the nutrition, supplements, or FMCG sectors.
- Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
- Passion for health, wellness, and nutritional products.
- Excellent communication and supplier relationship management.
- Highly organized with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems.
