The role involves creating and illustrating pre-and post-contract designs for access equipment, guardrail systems, stairs, ladders, roof walkways and other architectural and structural metalwork.\\nThe position will suit an individual who can work as part of a team as well as alone, a strong problem solver who is able to produce technical drawings and is willing to work hard and deliver first-class results.\\nAs a Senior Designer, you will be required to\\n * Interpret customer requirements and clients to produce design approval drawings.\\n * Liaise and communicate with contractors and architects directly to comprehensively understand project deliverables and design programme requirements\\n * Interpretation of design standards and regulations to inform design proposals\\n * Liaise and communicate with engineers to inform and substantiate design proposals\\n * Lead projects through the design phase liaising with the relevant Managers accordingly to ascertain pertinent design information\\n * Produce accurately detailed fabrication drawings to allow the fabrication of a structurally sound, bespoke product manufactured from the correctly specified materials\\n * Liaise with fabricators when required during the manufacturing stage to ensure that the designs are accurately realised\\n * Be commercially minded enough to analyse and arrive at the most cost-effective solution\\n * General drawing office administrative duties as and when required.\\n * Attendance of design meetings at site, client’s offices, video conference when required\\n * \\nExperience / Skillset required for this role\\n * 2D AutoCAD – Essential. 3D AutoCAD/Inventor/Revit – Advantageous but not essential.\\n * Understanding of BIM would be desirable\\n * Proven working design experience in the Construction Industry\\n * Fabrication drawing background.
Ideally in the steel fabrication / architectural metalwork industry.\\n * Experience in working to design standards.\\n * Understand manufacturing technologies, processes, techniques and installation procedures.\\n * Use of in-house systems and standard drawing office procedures for design processes.\\n * Good communicator, telephone/email.\\n * Proven experience of working to deadlines and programmes.\\n * ‘Can do’ attitude who can work well under pressure.\\n * Willing to go above and beyond to achieve high-level results + Strong team mentality\\n * Site surveying experience is advantageous.\\nDoes this sound like something you want to be a part of?
