Peterborough is undergoing major transformation, and its legal team is central to making it happen. As a Property Lawyer, you’ll advise on a wide range of commercial property matters that support everything from everyday estate management to landmark regeneration projects.

This is a fantastic opportunity for lawyers with local authority or public sector experiencewho want to see the tangible results of their work. Your expertise will directly enable development, infrastructure growth, and the delivery of essential services across the city.

What You’ll Do

• Advise on acquisitions, disposals, and commercial lease negotiations
• Draft leases, licences, option agreements, and asset-related contracts
• Manage landlord and tenant issues, including rent reviews, renewals, and dilapidations
• Provide legal input to regeneration and infrastructure projects like the Station Quarter
• Advise on agricultural property transactions and academy leases (support provided as needed)
• Work closely with developers, agents, and internal teams to progress complex deals

What We’re Looking For

• Qualified Solicitor, Barrister, or CILEx Fellow
• Strong background in commercial property transactions
• Confidence managing leases, landlord/tenant issues, and contract negotiations
• Clear communicator and team player with the ability to handle a varied caseload
