Job Description
Are you an experienced sustainability manager with a background in the built environment? Do you enjoy both creating strategy and delivering impact?
This organisation, a family-owned commercial real estate and property group, is looking to hire its first Sustainability Manager to develop and execute an overarching environmental and climate strategy across it’s commercial, residential and industrial portfolio.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Strategic integration & leadership – you’ll develop and deliver comprehensive strategies that integrate sustainability into business performance and culture
- Comprehensive stakeholder engagement – you’ll foster collaborative and effective relationships with functional business leaders, helping to embed environmental and social programmes into operational business performance
- Net zero transformation – you’ll lead all decarbonisation initiatives, including scope 1 and 2 reduction and on-site energy efficiency programmes
- Measurement and management – you’ll maintain detailed project tracking systems and reporting mechanisms to ensure effective management and compliance
What you’ll bring:
- Previous experience as a sustainability manager/leader in the built environment sector
- Extensive knowledge of climate, carbon, energy and reporting programmes
- Experience of strategy creation and implementation
- The ability to use sustainability initiatives to drive business performance
- Clear and confident communication style, with the ability to manage a range of internal and external stakeholders
- A project management approach to sustainability
