Overview We have an exciting new opening for a Project Manager to join our Northumbrian Water team due to contract expansion and securing 2 new frameworks on AMP8. This role will focus on civils schemes, predominantly on water treatment, and also environmental works. We are a direct delivery specialist contractor for both the water industry and the broader water environment. We currently hold 29 frameworks and work with most of the UK\’s water companies and the Environment Agency and have held frameworks with Northumbrian Water for over 30 years. * Up to £52k per annum plus company car or car allowance * Training and advancement opportunities * Hybrid working arrangements * Excellent benefits package What you\’ll be doing Reporting to the Framework Manager, you will be responsible for delivering civil and/or Environmental-biased schemes for Northumbrian Water. This is an excellent opportunity for someone to make an impact through contract and team expansion. You will work in a highly collaborative and proactive manner, ensuring that work is completed within clearly defined budgets and timescales. Responsibilities: * Plan effectively from pre-construction to post-construction in line with all relevant policies, procedures, and best practices. * Ensure the role of Temporary Works Coordinator is fulfilled adequately and in line with training. * Oversee Project and Site Coordinators, providing guidance as needed. * Produce site files, including but not limited to project programmes, RAMS, CPPs, and quality documentation. * Act as Principal Contractor on behalf of the company, ensuring the correct measures are in place for the suitable management of sub-contractors. * Liaise effectively with the Commercial and support teams to control project finances, including but not limited to PayGo, live hire, plant, and materials. * Work with Coordinators and Supervisors to ensure accurate and timely submission of completed works and team timesheets. * Hold responsibility and accountability for project performance, including finances, health and safety, and quality. Essential * Extensive experience in delivering civil engineering projects ideally as a Project Manager. * Ability to manage projects in a direct delivery model. * Full UK driving licence. * Strong communicator, able to liaise confidently with a variety of people, including clients, suppliers, and team members. * Strong IT skills, particularly in MS Excel and Project. * Experience of working within a CDM Managed Environment * Commercial and Programming experience.
