I am delighted to be working with a group of private care homes to recruit for their first Learning and Development Lead to join them on a permanent basis
Role – L&D Lead
Location – home based with travel across the South of England
Package £60,000 basic. £6k car allowance/car.
Bonus 6% non-contractual bonus
You will manage your own diary with travel 3 days a week to visit care homes
The role
You will provide developmental insight and support to unlock potential within local sites, in line with the overall strategic ambition, values and culture of the organisation.
This role will develop and oversee centralised learning systems and approaches (including feedback mechanisms) to embed learning and development across the organisation from entry level roles through to board leadership.
This role is a key partner of the Senior Management Team
Duties
- Provide leadership and a strategic approach to our learning and development
- Develop a framework of learning to ensure all elements of the quality service we offer are supported
- Lead on the management and development of our learning management system (LMS), ensuring that appropriate training courses, resources and data can be stored, collated and reported on from it
- Develop and deliver a range of training resources
- Regularly attend the various care homes to provide face to face learning and development
- In collaboration with appropriate departmental leads, review and procure appropriate third-party specialist learning resources, courses and tools to ensure a culture of continuous learning is embedded and supported across the organisation
- Develop a holistic approach to talent development and succession planning with approaches such as apprenticeships
- Provide mechanisms to gather quantitative and qualitative feedback from across the organisation
- Contribute to specific projects of work relating to the wider organisation
Essential experience needed
CIPD qualified or qualified by equivalent demonstrable experience
- Experience of developing and delivering a range of face-to-face, online and blended learning approaches to learning and development to achieve positive people outcomes
- Experience of running a small learning and development function that operates across a dispersed geography
- Knowledge of equity, diversity, inclusion and belonging approaches, having used these elements to contribute to a successful employee experience and increase engagement
- Experience of managing a range of internal and external relationships and stakeholders to achieve improved employee experience
