About Inara
At Inara, we partner with some of the most exciting companies in tech, from start-ups all the way to global giants. We enjoy nothing more than partnering with the companies reimagining how industries operate with AI, software, and frontier engineering.
We don’t do generic recruitment. We operate as strategic talent partners, often embedded with founders and engineering leaders, building the teams that shape products, scale platforms, and drive technical breakthroughs.
The Role
We’re now hiring a Technology Recruitment Consultant to help us meet growing demand across AI, ML, and data engineering. You’ll be working on roles that span from data platform engineers building high-throughput pipelines and analytics infrastructure, to ML engineers designing GenAI systems from the ground up, to systems specialists optimising LLM performance at scale. This is a chance to work at the cutting edge of talent acquisition for companies redefining what’s possible with data, AI, and intelligent infrastructure.
What You\’ll Be Doing
This is a 360 role : you’ll be responsible not just for delivering on searches, but for identifying, shaping, and winning new business. That means having conversations with founders, attending discovery calls, crafting outreach strategies, and helping expand our client portfolio alongside our delivery excellence.
Delivery: you’ll lead searches for deeply technical roles across the data and AI spectrum. You’ll work closely with founders, CTOs, Talent Leaders and Hiring Managers to shape requirements, source exceptional talent, and close hires that genuinely change the trajectory of their company.
You’ll be hands-on, end-to-end, and outcome-driven:
- Partner with clients to deeply understand roles in AI, ML, data, infra and engineering
- Write world-class outreach that resonates with highly technical candidates
- Source and engage candidates from active and passive networks
- Run structured, efficient hiring processes that uphold an excellent candidate experience
- Collaborate closely with the Inara team on strategy, positioning and client delivery
- Stay sharp on developments in the AI/ML space tooling, market shifts, funding rounds, emerging talent trends
- Collaborate closely with the Inara team on strategy, positioning and delivery
- Proactively identify and build relationships with scaling tech companies in need of engineering hires
- Participate in (and eventually lead) client pitches, proposals, and long-term hiring roadmaps
What We’re Looking For:
- 2 – 5+ years of experience in technical hiring, ideally in AI, ML, Data Engineering, or adjacent fields
- You can speak credibly to engineers and understand the difference between an MLOps engineer and a research scientist
- You’ve worked in a startup, scale-up, or agency environment and know how to move fast without cutting corners
- You genuinely care about quality of candidates, of client experience, of communication
- You’re curious, switched-on, and thrive when given ownership
- Proactively identify and approach high-potential new clients including early-stage startups and scale-ups building in the AI/ML space
- Participate in (and eventually lead) discovery calls, proposals, and pitch conversations with new clients
- Work closely with leadership to help grow Inara’s client base and commercial footprint
Why Join Inara?
- You’ll work directly with startups, scale ups and/or businesses at the forefront of the new technology landscape
- You’ll get full autonomy to build your own desk, through client acquisition, events and running searches the way you know they should be done
- We’re small, sharp, and high-output, no egos, no fluff
- Competitive pay + performance-based commission up to 40%
- You will get access to some of the latest AI and Automation tools
- Hybrid working, with 2 to 3 days in the office per week
