Job Title: Lab Operative (6-Month Contract)
Location: Botley, Oxford, UK
Hours: Morning and Evening shifts (between 6am and 10pm)
About the Role:
Due to the huge success of our consumables business, we are looking for a Production Operative to join our team for 6 months. The purpose of this role is to support the Operations team in delivering a range of consumable products. This position is ideal for individuals seeking experience in a lab environment.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Machine Operations:
- Set up, monitor, and maintain machines/equipment.
- Perform production operations and processes in relation to consumable products and packages, following approved manufacturing instructions and protocols.
- Quality Control:
- Conduct Quality Control operations, including measurements, data recording, and goods-in inspections, adhering to strict Quality Control protocols.
- Report quality issues to the Quality team and assist with issue resolution.
- Production Support:
- Contribute to production meetings and engage in basic fault-finding activities.
- Support core manufacturing operations for the production line.
- Perform repetitive production tasks, including kitting, packing, labeling, preparation, and shipping.
Ideal Candidate Qualifications:
- Education:
- GCSE/A/AS Level in Science.
- A degree in a science-based subject would be advantageous.
- Experience:
- Experience in scientific laboratory, manufacturing clean room, or hi-tech manufacturing and process environments.
- Ability to work alone and as part of a team to deliver against production targets.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in standard software packages such as Windows systems, MS Word, and Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to focus on tasks.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong personal organization and time management skills.
- A valid driving license.
