Were looking for aSEN Teaching Assistantto join our friendly and supportive team atEdison Pace School a small, nurturing school for students with additional needs like autism, ADHD and social, emotional, or mental health challenges.

No two days are the same here, but every day is rewarding.

What the role involves:

  • Supporting students in the classroom (1:1 or in small groups)
  • Helping them build confidence, independence and enjoy learning
  • Working closely with teachers to adapt lessons and activities
  • Encouraging positive behaviour in a calm and caring way
  • Getting stuck in with everything from class activities to school trips
  • Using your creativity to make learning fun and engaging
  • Building positive relationships with students, staff and families

What were looking for:

You dont need to be an expert just kind, patient, and ready to learn.

Wed love it if you have:

  • Some experience working with children or young people
  • GCSEs (Grade 4/C or above) in English and Maths
  • Good communication skills and a sense of humour
  • Confidence using basic IT
  • An understanding of (or willingness to learn about) SEND and safeguarding

Extra bonus if youve worked in a school or have a TA qualification, but its not essential.
