Data Governance Analyst
Hybrid –1/2 days a week onsite
Salary: £50,000 – £55,000
We’re working with a large distribution business that’s building out its data governance capability and looking for a confident, proactive Data Governance Analyst to join their team.
This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong foundation in data governance who enjoys working with stakeholders to embed best practices and improve how data is catalogued, classified, and managed across the organisation.
What you’ll be doing
- Supporting and improving data cataloguing and classification , helping to organise metadata and build data dictionaries.
- Working with stakeholders across the business to establish and embed governance frameworks.
- Ensuring sensitive and security-critical information is appropriately classified and managed.
- Promoting a culture of data stewardship and helping teams understand the value of high-quality, governed data.
- Contributing to documentation and data lineage activities to improve visibility and control.
What we’re looking for
- Experience in data governance, data quality, or information governance roles.
- Understanding of metadata management, data dictionaries, and classification of sensitive data.
- Familiarity with governance tools like Microsoft Purview (or similar), though not essential.
