Fresh Counter Associate – Liverpool Street, London Earnings : £13h + 5% quarterly bonus Location : London, EC2M 3YD Contract type : Permanent, full-time, 40 hours, shifts between 7am and 10pm As the Fresh Counter Associate, you will be part of our grocery team and work on one of our fresh counters. We have 4 counters where we sell meat, fish, dry/cured meats, and cheese. You will attend to both the needs of our guests and colleagues from other areas of the store needing product from the counters. The Fresh Counter Associate will manage and control stock rotation, ordering, cutting, cleaning, weighing, and packaging. WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING… Working at either our fresh fish counter, meat counter, or cheese counter. Assist customers with selection and purchase of fresh items from the counters. Receiving new deliveries of fresh produce and storing stock according to food safety regulations. Providing the kitchen with necessary items when needed. Prepare cuts of meat and fish to the highest standard according to customer needs. Cleans, cuts, weighs, packages, and labels produce. Ensures all items are rotated according to ‘First In First Out’ (FIFO) standards. Cutting, deboning, and portioning of meat being delivered to the store. Clean and fillet fish. WE’RE LOOKING FOR… Experience working with slicing or portioning fresh meat, fish or cheese. Availability to work onsite with a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Ability to exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours, including standing, walking, bending, and squatting. Able to work safely with knives, hand tools, utensils, and other specialist equipment. Willingness to be flexible and support multiple teams. Fluent in spoken and written English. Right to work in the UK.
