Job Description The Engineering Assistant Managerwill ensure the team drives improvements to production efficiencies, Monitor and maintain improvements programs. The role will implement best practices, team development, personal development and supporting the engineering strategy. Working hours: Monday to Friday, 08.00-16.30 Key Duties of a Engineering Assistant Manager: To Support and Manage the Engineering teams day to day operations of the Department. Ensuring any issues are reported to the Engineering Manager. Assist in Developing and Implementing Engineering Strategies and Procedures. Co-Ordinate with different teams to ensure the smooth execution of projects. Monitor and maintain all engineering equipment to ensure Optimal Functionality. Drive the development and utilisation of the CMMS system. Control the PPMs system to ensure a robust process is been carried out. Contractor control, Looking after contractors to ensure all Paperwork is up to date. Rams, Insurances etc. Carry out regular checks to ensure all contractors are inducted before entering the site. Drive and Manage the apprenticeship programme within the business, Look after the training programmes schedules and roles and responsibilities. Step-up and direct the department in the engineering managers absence. Responsible for the completion and control of the Documentation for engineering. Liaise with the Engineering Manager to unsure the Documents are accurate. Ensuring all Disciplinary & Grievance matters are reported in accordance with companies processes, Implement safety measures and ensure compliance with industry regulations. Oversee trouble shooting and repairs to resolve equipment issues. Qualifications You will be an experienced Engineering Team Leader/Senior Engineer/Assistant Manager thats looking for that next step in their career. A recognised Engineering Qualification (Minimum Level 3). Experiencewithin the food industry would be highly advantageous. Proven Experience in an Engineering Management or Supervisory Role. Strong knowledge of Engineering procedures and Principles. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills. Strong leadership abilities and a Collaborative work style. Excellent Communication skills, both written and verbal.
