The EC&I Engineer will be responsible for producing design studies and manufacturing designs for NSG projects.
The engineer will work within a multi-discipline design team and be responsible for undertaking the design of equipment as delegated by the Integration Manager and/or Project Manager., The EC&I Engineer will generate EC&I engineering project deliverables such as:

Block Diagrams

Basic calculations
-
Technical specifications
-
Requirements
-
Technical reports
Provide project, stakeholder and bid management support such as:

Input into the generation of project schedules

Maintaining relationships with our Clients and the Supply Chain

Generating and responding to Technical Queries (TQs)
Candidates will be expected to undergo UK Security Vetting to DV level, thus will need to be a British National and have resided in the UK for the past 10 years.

A good understanding of general electrical or controls and instrumentation principles, e.g:

Design fundamentals

Application of Formulae and Calculations

Basic optioneering and equipment selection

Environmental impact to installation and equipment, for example IP Ratings and Special Locations

General understanding of EC&I drawings, both reading and production of Block, Line, Layout, Schematic, Wiring, Termination etc

Fundamentals of Safety Systems, Interlocks and of designing to ‘Fail Safe’
