From fast jets to thermal imaging of wildlife, from search and rescue helicopters to space exploration, Leonardo is on the forefront of modern technology. We now have an exciting opportunity for an SAP Applications Developer to join our team supporting enterprise applications across the company.
You’ll be helping us maintain our S/4 HANA 2021 system as we set our direction to mould the future of our systems and deliver our vision of the Digital Enterprise for now and beyond. The team is growing, and with our flexible working ethos, there’s a good balance of remote work and site-based contact.
What you’ll do as an SAP Applications Developer:
- Help maintain the system to keep the engine running efficiently
- Liaise with functional team members to develop systems that drive business innovation
- Assist in increasing team processes as we evolve our agile development approach
- Investigate and develop the next generation of applications through continual adoption and development of Fiori applications
- Follow good practices and procedures with documentation and due diligence, and help improve processes
What we need from you:
You really must have:
- Strong ABAP skills, preferably with knowledge of Object-Oriented Development
- Development knowledge of at least two SAP Modules
- Experience with SAP enhancements via UserExit, BAdI, etc.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
It would be nice if you had:
- Experience with Core Data Services (CDS) and ABAP Development Tools in Eclipse
- Exposure to RESTful ABAP Programming Model (RAP)
- Some knowledge of SAP Business Technology Platform
- Experience with ABAP automated test tooling such as ABAPunit, Test Doubles, etc.
- Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, and Agile principles
- Knowledge of DEVOPS processes and CI/CD
- Experience with SAP Workflow and Flexible Workflow
- Familiarity with SAP Integration Tools such as SAP Process Integration or Process Orchestration
