This consultancy provides expert support across a broad range of infrastructure sectors, including water, highways, transmission & distribution, energy, power, rail, and gas .
With ambitious growth plans in place, they are seeking a seasoned Senior Project Manager or Operations Manager who is ready to take the next step in their career. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key leadership role and help shape the future of a rapidly evolving business.
As Operations Director, you will be responsible for the day-to-day leadership and operational performance of the business. This is a pivotal role requiring a strategic thinker who can also execute, manage people, and refine processes. You’ll be a member of the Operations Board and work closely with the leadership team to ensure sustainable growth, team development, and excellent service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the business to deliver high-quality client outcomes and ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Oversee and improve internal operations, systems, and processes to enhance efficiency and scalability.
- Ownership and monthly reporting on profit and loss
- Manage project resourcing, timelines, and budget adherence across client accounts.
- Act as a key point of contact for clients, ensuring satisfaction, managing expectations, and identifying opportunities for value-add or upsell.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and professional development of staff to maintain a high-performing, motivated team.
- Collaborate with directors on strategic planning, business development, and financial performance monitoring.
- Maintain compliance with legal, financial, and quality standards.
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and collaboration.
- Develop client quotes, based on an agreed scope of works
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven experience in an operations or leadership role
- Strong project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
- Excellent interpersonal and team leadership capabilities.
- Familiarity with CRM systems, productivity tools, and performance metrics.
- Commercial acumen with a strategic mindset.
- A relevant degree or equivalent experience; MBA or further qualification desirable but not essential.
