Here at Wisbech , we have a team of 525 colleagues and manufacture premium chilled ready to cook meals for major retailers such as Sainsbury\\\\\\\’s, Aldi and Co-op. What you\\\\\\\’ll be doing Despatch Operative – 4on 4off – 12:00-00:00 – Pay Rate: £13.32 per hour (plus overtime outside of normal shift pattern) We are currently looking for a Despatch Operative to work in our Greencore factory in Wisbech (PE13 2RD). We are looking for individuals who relish the opportunity to work as part of a team in a factory environment. Our environments can be busy, cold and wet, but your safety comes first, and all personal protective equipment will be provided. What you\\\\\\\’ll be doing Ensure the correct picking of orders in the Despatch department using daily pick sheets and R.D.T guns. Receiving in of goods produced from factory, using handheld scanners and also storing within the racking system. Assist in managing stock accuracy through daily warehouse activities, cycle counts, stock takes and reconciliation within the 21-computer system. Loading and unloading of vehicles in a timely manner ensuring health and safety guidelines are adhered to, ensuring paperwork is correct, noting any discrepancies & complying with technical procedures Temperature monitoring and recording of stock being loaded onto trailers Wrapping picked pallets for loading, using PPT equipment Receiving in of goods produced from factory, using handheld scanners and storing within the racking system. Report any stock picking issues within the Despatch department to the Zone Manager Ensure any damaged stock is reported and recorded using the correct procedure, and all requests for stock by other departments are directed to the Zone Manager Any faults of machinery and equipment or damage of property are reported to the Zone Manager at the earliest opportunity Contribute to and assist with the activities of other members of the team and cover when required Assist the Zone Manager in ensuring that the department is kept in good order, clean and organized Ensure that Zone Manager is kept fully informed of key issues within the department daily What we\\\\\\\’re looking for Knowledge of picking procedures High level of accuracy Team player and Reliable Comfortable working in a chilled environment Good Literacy and Numeracy skills (assessed at interview) Good verbal communication skills MHE experience is an advantage Clean as you go attitude.
