Hays are recruiting for an Assistant Management Accountant to join a dynamic finance team on a temporary 6‑month contract, providing essential support during a busy period.This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is AAT qualified, actively studying, or qualified by experience, and eager to make an immediate impact.
What You\’ll Be DoingYou\’ll play a key role in supporting the finance function, with responsibilities including:
Preparing monthly management accounts and supporting the full month‑end reporting process
Performing detailed variance analysis to highlight key drivers of financial performance
Completing accruals and prepayments to ensure accurate period‑end reporting
Supporting budgeting and forecasting processes through data analysis and reporting
Providing day‑to‑day support to the Accounts Payable function and wider finance teamRequirements for the role
AAT qualified, studying towards a qualification, or qualified by experience
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Ability to work to tight deadlines in a fast‑moving environment
Confident communicator with a proactive approach
