Job Purpose

12 month fixed term contract, working with the Business Support Manager to ensure that Pioneer operates as a safe and compliant organisation which ensures the Customer is considered at all stages of the journey. To assist Veygo in reviewing processes, implementing improvements and providing assurance that company policies are being followed correctly.

Core Responsibilities

  • Creating an assurance framework on a new assurance tool and imbed throughout operations
  • Evaluate the organisation’s internal controls and risk management processes, identifying any areas of weakness.
  • Prepare and present short reports that highlight key findings, risks, and actionable recommendations.
  • Work closely with business units to obtain relevant data, review processes, and provide support during audits.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and standards (e.g., FCA and industry-specific regulations).
  • Customer communication monitoring (phone and written) assessing compliance to FCA regulations
  • Perform regular assurance activity on repudiations to ensure the correct decisions are being made and provide feedback/training to any agents who may need further support
  • Identify inefficiencies, fraud risks, and potential improvements in processes, controls, and procedures.
  • Collaborate with senior management to develop action plans to address any findings and strengthen internal controls.
  • Aid the business with implementing process improvements and monitor the effectiveness of the implementations.
  • Collating evidence for the group internal control framework
  • Provide training and guidance to staff on internal controls, reviewing and processes.
  • Assist in the preparation of annual review schedules and plans.
  • Support the business with any group internal audit reviews that take place.
  • Helping maintain a ‘culture of compliance and continuous improvement’ within Veygo
  • Check the checker, this requires carrying out reviews of the quality checker monitoring reviews.
  • Supporting the Business Support team with risk and compliance requirements

Role requirements

  • Experience with a quality assurance system (such as Evaluagent) is preferred
  • A background in customer care and/or governance is preferred
  • Able to balance the needs of customers, the business and the regulator
  • To be able to build positive working relationships across Pioneers key stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently and proactively
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Excellent time management skills to meet regular tight deadlines
  • Report writing and proof-reading skills
  • Be receptive and able to respond to feedback
  • Good communication skills, ability to articulate issues and to maintain relationships
  • A strong interest in regulatory matters and a desire to find creative solutions to problems for the customer and the business
  • Office presence 2 to 3 days a week
