Sayjo Recruitment Ltd are acting on behalf of a client to source a permanent member of staff to join their team. This is a full-time vacancy for a
R&D Design Engineer.
Our client is a well-established engineering company, they manufacture a quality product which they supply to customers around the world, in excess of 50 countries worldwide.
This is a key role within the business, working from their new, modern, spacious premises, a big part of this role will be to help with new product development/innovation and contribute ideas for continuous improvements to engineering / production process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Product development / innovation.
- Engineering / production process improvements.
- Design Engineering, using AutoCAD, Solidworks & Keyshot
- Taking concepts from idea to saleable product
- Patenting new products
- Developing existing product lines
- Liaising with customers to research and develop products for their specific requirements
- Reviewing material choices, treatment options etc .
Our client offers a lovely work environment, with a friendly team. This role has no direct reports, but will require the successful candidate to liaise regularly with customers, suppliers and other team members
Requirements:
Mechanical Engineering Degree.
Experience in using AutoCAD, Solidworks and Keyshot.
Friendly, professional and committed.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Nice to haves, but not essential:
PLC programming skills
Proven record of taking a product from concept to a saleable product.
Experience of getting a product through the patent process with legal support would also be an advantage.
Working Hours:
Monday to Thursday 8.30am 5pm / Friday 8.30am 4pm
Remuneration:
GBP40 – GBP45k, negotiable depending on experience.
