British Dyslexia Association (BDA) is a charity that represents the voice of people living with dyslexia. We aim to influence government and other institutions to promote a dyslexia-friendly society that enables dyslexic people of all ages to reach their full potential.

About the role

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and organised individual to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with the Head of Professional Standards to deliver the BDA’s specialised services in a professional and efficient manner, working collaboratively and proactively with all stakeholders to make a positive contribution to our ambitious and caring organisation.

Responsibilities

Assessments, Accreditation & Membership:

  • Respond to general questions and queries via email and phone promptly.
  • Process self-funded and corporate assessment requests efficiently.
  • Follow up on corporate enquiries, encouraging bookings and upselling assessments as appropriate.
  • Support liaising with assessors and peer reviewers, maintaining up-to-date information.
  • Send feedback requests post-assessment and collate responses.
  • Work with the accreditation administrator to process accreditation applications.
  • Assist the membership requests processing by the support services administrator.
  • Perform administrative project work to improve system efficiency and stakeholder experience.

Finance:

  • Assist with invoicing and related communications.
  • Generate and send assessment reports upon completion.

Record Keeping:

  • Maintain CRM data accurately and timely.
  • Update SharePoint information as needed.
  • Adhere to GDPR guidelines.
  • Provide information to management as required.

Other:

  • Update departmental paperwork as needed.
  • Ensure website information about professional services is accurate.
  • Cover for other departmental administrators when required.

General:

  • Uphold the values and standards of the BDA in all activities.
  • Represent the BDA professionally, promoting its vision and objectives.
  • Be flexible and adaptable, taking on additional tasks as needed.
