Our client, a distinguished global leader in the legal sector, is seeking an accomplished Sourcing Manager to drive strategic procurement initiatives that deliver significant cost savings and performance enhancements. Position Overview
As the Sourcing Manager, you will spearhead the development and implementation of global sourcing strategies, focusing on programmes involving stakeholders across multiple regions and offices. You will take the lead on strategic procurement projects from end-to-end, including upcoming initiatives such as HR Transformation, Marketing and Brand Programme, Finance Transformation Programme, and Client Management Programme. Acting as a procurement subject matter expert, you will collaborate closely with the Procurement team and stakeholders to negotiate favourable commercial and contract terms with suppliers.
Responsibilities
- Identify and deliver substantial cost savings and efficiency improvements through the implementation of global sourcing strategies
- Lead complex, high-impact procurement projects across HR, Marketing, Finance and Client Management domains
- Serve as a procurement subject matter expert, providing guidance and expertise within designated areas
- Foster strong partnerships with the Procurement team and diverse stakeholders to achieve shared objectives
- Negotiate advantageous commercial and contract terms with suppliers, leveraging your expertise and negotiation skills
- Support initiatives to drive compliance and adherence to the organisation\’s global procurement policies
- Contribute to the overall success of the Procurement team, helping to enhance the value proposition and drive continuous improvement
Requirements
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Proven ability to lead large-scale procurement projects successfully
- Strong multitasking and organisational skills to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Expertise in negotiating contract terms and marking up supplier agreements
- Extensive experience identifying and delivering significant cost savings and efficiency opportunities through global sourcing strategies
- Demonstrated success in leading complex global procurement projects across HR, Marketing, and Technology domains
- Solid track record of negotiating and marking up supplier contracts to secure favourable terms
- Adept at managing and influencing challenging stakeholders and suppliers to achieve desired outcomes
- Confident presenter with experience communicating to senior leadership teams and project committees
- In-depth understanding of procurement best practices, processes, and tools relevant to comparable organisations
- Strong knowledge of key procurement categories, including HR, Marketing, and Technology
- Degree-level qualification is desirable; MCIPS or a recognised procurement qualification is advantageous
