Stores Person and Driver
Location: Exeter
Salary: From £13 per hour
The Role
To carry out and take responsibility for the stores department as required by the Branch Manager.
Main Duties:
* Recording of jobs arriving in the works and booking jobs onto EMIR, including photos
* Ordering spares and parts from the supply chain (chasing purchase orders) workshop parts only.
* Quality control checks on completed jobs (liaise with Workshop Foreman). Complete paperwork including checking test sheets and signatures.
* To oversee all aspects of transport and logistics (including driving if required).
* Packing goods for dispatch.
* Goods receiving.
* Stock replenishment (including consumable items).
* All stores documentation including stock takes.
* Housekeeping of the stores.
* Helping and assisting in the workshop if the requirement arises.
* Carrying out request by the Company or Stores Manager to aid and assist the needs of the business.
* Ensuring they keep up to date with Health and Safety requirements, working with Health and Safety Manager to ensure they are compliant.
* Meeting with suppliers as the needs arise.
* Taking ownership of the stores to ensure the business functions in an efficient and proactive manner.
* Delivering repairs to customers as prepared by the workshop.
* Collection of goods from customers that are in need of repair.
* Driving safely and adhering to speed limits as you are representing the Company.
* Perform any other duties within your capabilities as directed by Branch Manager.

* Proven experience in a similar role preferred.
* Adapts quickly to change and considers new more efficient approaches
* Good time keeping skills are essential.
* Full driving licence essential
* Excellent customer service skills.
* Works well on own initiative or as part of a team.
