Meet The Team
We’re strengthening our FP&A team and broadening its remit to cover Group stress testing and forecasting activities and facilitate opportunities which make the most of the power of the Group.
The team you will be joining, Group Financial Planning and Analysis within Group Financial Performance, is a team of 9 colleagues working with financial business partners, business lines, and executive teams.
Our core role is to understand, report, and forecast business performance, explaining with insight the consequences of decisions and recommending corrective actions to achieve strategic goals or mitigate financial risks.
Turning data into insight, insight into action, and action into customer satisfaction is central to all we do.
What Will You Be Doing?
You will have the opportunity to:
- Support the Head of Group Financial Planning and Analysis in reviewing the Society’s stress testing and planning operating model with key stakeholders, adopting a more agile, collaborative, and hub approach to stress testing and forecasting cycles.
- Support the production of bottom-up modelling (QRM) of quarterly stress testing, forecasting, and regulatory requirements, liaising with relevant teams to agree assumptions and deliver financial projections.
- Assist in consolidating Group forecasts and the 5-year Corporate Plan.
- Identify vulnerabilities and provide improvements/solutions based on stress testing and forecasting work.
- Deliver supporting documentation for ExCo and Board papers.

- Strong communication skills to interpret and explain complex accounting and technical matters.
- Excellent planning, analytical, and modelling skills to understand and challenge complex models.

- Proactivity, enthusiasm, and self-motivation to deliver excellent outcomes.
- Strong knowledge of Financial Planning and Analysis, technical accounting, and the ability to be a subject matter expert.
- Good commercial understanding to translate operational plans into financial outcomes.
- Experience in planning and organizing work to meet deadlines.
- Ideally, a professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA).
