We\’re looking for a Meter Technician to join us within our Industrial & Commercial business.
Meter Technician I&C – North East
Salary – £33,796 to £42,126 plus a generous individual quarterly performance bonus
E.ON\’s strategy to double the Industrial and Commercial metering operation within the next two years is well underway. We are expanding our high-performing, ring-fenced metering team by recruiting highly motivated individuals.
We provide whole current, LV, and HV CT metering and communication solutions to our I&C customers across the UK.
Applicants should have excellent customer service skills and proven experience in single-phase and three-phase metering. Roles are available for LV and HV CT experienced technicians, with salary reflecting experience and progression.
Responsibilities include:
- Delivering first-class service to internal and external industrial and commercial customers.
- Working on whole current and CTO metering installations and associated communication equipment, following our codes of practice and safe working methods.
- Conducting site investigations to support accurate and timely billing for customers.
- Contributing to a culture of honest feedback, recognition, and continual improvement.
Essential
- Live within Newcastle, Sunderland, Durham, or Middlesbrough.
- Experience in single-phase and three-phase metering.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach to self-development.
- Basic computer skills.
- A full valid UK/EU driving licence (preferably clean, with a maximum of 6 points).
Desirable
- Knowledge of single and three-phase domestic and commercial electrical installations.
- Electrical knowledge or qualifications for fault finding and on-site investigations, including use of specialist test equipment.
- Experience with HV and/or LV CTO metering (salary will reflect qualifications).
- Salary: Depends on experience, qualifications, and hours.
