Responsibilities
- Sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute hotel linens including sheets, towels, and other fabric items
- Operate and maintain commercial laundry equipment, including washers and dryers
- Inspect linens for cleanliness and repair any damaged items
- Collaborate with housekeeping staff to ensure an adequate supply of linens for guest rooms
- Assist with maintaining cleanliness and organization in the laundry area
- Handle guest requests for additional linens or replacement items promptly and with exceptional service
- Follow all safety and sanitation procedures to maintain a clean working environment
Requirements
- Previous experience working in a similar role, preferably in a hotel setting
- Ability to handle physical work, including lifting and moving heavy laundry carts
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely completion of laundry tasks
- Knowledge of safe handling and usage of laundry chemicals
- Flexibility to work a schedule that may include weekends and holidays
