Teaching Assistants – SEND Schools – Richmond/Twickenham

Empowering Learning are seeking a Teaching Assistant to join teams at SEND schools across South West London.

About the Role:

Full-time, long-term position – Monday to Friday, term-time only.

Hours: 8:30am – 4:00pm

  • Supporting students both academically and emotionally in a small class setting (around 10 students)
  • Working closely with teachers and the wider school team to manage challenging behaviour positively
  • Acting as a positive role model, helping students develop confidence, resilience, and essential life skills
  • Strong leadership support and opportunities for career progression

What We\’re Looking For:

  • Patience, resilience, and the ability to build strong, trusting relationships
  • Excellent communication and behaviour management skills
  • A kind but firm approach to support students in their learning and personal development
  • Ability to motivate and engage students with SEND
  • Experience in a similar role is beneficial, but a positive attitude and willingness to learn are just as important
