Quantity Surveyor/Senior Quantity Surveyor Required

One of the UK leading 5-star house building companies, who specialise in house development, are searching for a Quantity Surveyor/Senior Quantity Surveyor for their team across the Yorkshire area.
The role with be to deliver excellent commercial management, project control and the administration in line with the applicable contract terms/statutory legislation. You will need to adhere to strict deadlines and run all aspects within the commercial function with excellent prioritisation and organisation skills. You will be a proficient communicator and with Microsoft office. You will report directly to the Commercial Director and will oversee a maximum of 4 developments at the same time.
Key Duties
- Commercial management of all projects to ensure their completion within the allowed budget
- Draft up systems and processes with effectiveness measurement of commercial performance
- Deliver accurate and real-time commercial reports (CVR) with final forecasts
- Creation of bills of quantities, tender documents for subcontractors, materials and plant enquiries
- Organise tender analysis, procurement, account management and payment of subcontractors
- Deliver tender analysis, procurement and account management of materials and plant
- Provide cost input at design team meetings and agree strategies to deliver the project
- Value engineer projects and suggest delivery solutions to ensure cost effective project delivery
- Deliver to the team all financial information as required in order to assist with all financial planning and land appraisals
Key Requirements
- 10 years of experience in this or similar roles desired
- A Quantity Surveying degree or equivalent
- An excellent knowledge of quantity surveying in the house building sector
- An excellent knowledge of financial reporting, contractual terms and statutory requirements
- Excellent communication skills with proficient attention to detail and efficient common sense in work situations
- An excellent organisation with familiarity of coordinating a number of tasks continuously
- Prioritise all deadlines and that they are met on time
- Salary of up to £65k (DOE) plus Car Allowance
- Car allowance of £6k or a choice of a company car with electric cars available
- Business Mileage
- Company pension
- Working hours – Monday to Friday 8am to 4:30pm with a half an hour lunch break
