Binnies an RSK Group company is looking for a Regulatory Reporting & Assurance Lead to join our ever growing Asset Management team.
Binnies is at the heart of the exciting transformation in the UK Water industry. With the UK Water sector recently awarded £104bn in funding as part of Ofwat’s 2024 price review, there has never been a more pivotal time to be a part of the story. We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Regulatory Reporting & Assurance Lead to join our team and support our clients in delivering high-quality, transparent, and robust regulatory reporting to stakeholders, regulators, and the public.
About the Role
As our Regulatory Reporting & Assurance Lead, you will be responsible for maintaining and winning new contracts to support clients in fulfilling their regulatory reporting requirements. This includes overseeing the delivery of performance reports, ensuring compliance with Ofwat’s PR24 regulations, and managing financial and non-financial submissions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing methodologies and processes for regulatory reporting and assurance.
- Leading a team to ensure high-quality, transparent, and accurate regulatory reports and submissions.
- Presenting findings to senior managers, directors, and board members of clients, as well as to senior-level regulators.
- Managing key relationships with industry regulators (Ofwat, Environment Agency, Drinking Water Inspectorate).
- Supporting the team in navigating complex regulatory requirements and ensuring the timely delivery of reports.
- Leading the team in line with Binnies’ values, ensuring professional development and a strong culture of collaboration.
- Degree educated or equivalent in a STEM subject.
- Significant senior experience in Regulatory Reporting and Assurance, preferably within the UK Water Industry.
- Proven experience in managing assurance teams or in regulation management within an asset-based organisation.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at senior levels and navigate complex external environments.
You should possess and be able to demonstrate the following qualifications, skills and knowledge:
- Chartered or equivalent in an appropriate professional institution.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to present complex technical information to non-technical audiences.
- A collaborative leadership style with a track record of delivering through others and fostering consensus.
- High level of numeracy and first-class presentation skills.
