Job Title: Program Manager – Cloud Migration (Unified Communications)
Location: Edinburgh, United Kingdom
Role Overview:
We are looking for an experienced and proactive Program Manager in Edinburgh to oversee a range of complex, time-sensitive cloud migration projects within our Digital Workplace Unified Communications (UC) environment. This position is responsible for managing all aspects of multiple projects, such as migrating Cisco UC Voice Core, Voicemail, Voice Recording, and Contact Center platforms to SaaS solutions. The role will also supervise the rollout of a new cloud-based broadcast streaming service to replace the current on-premise system.
Current applications in scope include Cisco CUCM, Cisco Unity Voicemail, Cisco Contact Cente, and Voice Recording, with the possibility of scope changes as the program advances. The Program Manager should be adaptable and ready to manage additional migrations if required, as well as partner with other Project Managers involved.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, execute, and deliver multiple cloud migration projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives and deadlines.
- Coordinate across engineering, infrastructure, compliance, end-user services, and vendor teams.
- Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and performance to ensure quality outcomes.
- Create and maintain integrated project plans, risk registers, and communication strategies for stakeholders.
- Ensure smooth service transitions with minimal impact on users and business operations.
- Lead the decommissioning of legacy infrastructure, including VMware ESXi clusters for UC workloads.
- Provide regular progress updates to senior leadership, addressing risks, dependencies, and mitigation strategies.
Required Qualifications:
- At least 10+ years of program or project management experience in large-scale IT infrastructure or cloud transformation projects.
- Specific experience working in a Hybrid Project management environment
- Demonstrated experience with Unified Communications or voice platform migrations (such as Cisco UC, Contact Center, Voicemail).
- Strong knowledge of SaaS models, cloud infrastructure, and vendor management.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and organizational abilities.
- Skilled at managing complex dependencies and fostering alignment across global teams.
- PMP, PRINCE2, or a similar certification is preferred.
