Course Manager & Lecturer in A Level Geography – Full Time
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a passionate teaching team at Strode College. We have a vacancy for a Course Manager of A Level Geography.
We are looking for good subject knowledge and enthusiasm to lead and teach A Level Geography, within our wider A Level programme. Our students are hardworking high achievers with the ambition to succeed, we are looking for a new member of our teaching team to enable the most ambitious progression for our leaners. Alongside teaching and managing Geography, you will be a personal tutor. We will look at applications from recent graduates in the field of Geography and those coming from relevant areas of industry, who wish to pursue a career in teaching.
You will be a team player who is committed to achieving excellent quality of work and agreed performance targets and to achieving the highest standards of personal performance. In exchange for this the college has very good working conditions and helps support those who wish to further their CPD.

Contractual Details
Rate of Pay or Salary: £23,976 – £39,544 per annum, depending on qualifications.
Working Time: 828 hours per annum of teaching and equivalent professional duties over 198 days, for full time posts and pro rata for part time posts. You will be expected to be on site for 34 hours per week pro rata during the whole academic year.
Contract Type: Permanent
Pension: Teachers’ Pension Scheme
Leave entitlement: 38 days per year plus bank holidays (pro-rated for part time) including discretionary days at Christmas.
Please note: the published salary and terms and conditions are effective until the 31 st of July 2025 when it is proposed that Strode College will merge with Bridgwater & Taunton College from the 1 st of August 2025.
Appointments from the 1 st of August will be subject to a change in terms and conditions and details of this will be confirmed at interview and in any subsequent offer of employment.
