About The Role:
SHIFT PATTERN –Relief role covering shits across several sites working Days,Nights and Weekends
The Area Support Officer provides flexible and reliable support across various client sites within a designated area, ensuring that high standards of security and customer service are consistently delivered. This role is ideal for someone adaptable, with strong problem-solving skills, and committed to maintaining safety and security across different environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide short- and long-term cover for absences, vacancies, or special events at client sites.
- Deliver high-quality security services, including:
- Access and egress control.
- Patrolling and monitoring premises to ensure safety.
- Conducting thorough searches of individuals and vehicles where required.
- Responding promptly to alarms and incidents.
- Perform detailed incident reporting, ensuring all documentation is accurate and submitted on time.
- Operate and monitor security equipment such as CCTV, access control systems, and alarm systems.
- Ensure compliance with site-specific procedures and company policies.
Customer and Stakeholder Engagement
- Build positive relationships with clients, staff, and visitors by providing professional support and assistance.
- Act as the main point of contact for security concerns at the assigned site during shifts.
- Ensure any client issues are escalated appropriately and resolved effectively.
Support Functions
- Provide training, mentoring, and guidance to new security personnel as required.
- Adapt quickly to site-specific protocols and expectations, maintaining professionalism in diverse settings.
- You must be flexible and welcome to change at short notice.
About You
- Essential Requirements
- Valid SIA License – Door Supervisor (DS) or Security Guard (SG) required.
- Full UK Driving License with access to a reliable vehicle.
- Proven experience in a security role, with knowledge of security operations and best practices.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for incident reporting and client interactions.
- Exceptional adaptability and flexibility to cover various shifts, locations, and environments.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to remain calm in emergencies.
