Here at Eden Brown Charities, we are delighted to be working in partnership with a much-loved Charity to recruit a Philanthropy Manager. Over the last five years, the Charity has increased their income significantly, mainly due to expanding their high-net-worth relationships and securing influential advocates. The Charity has ambitious plans to grow income even further.

About the role

You will be joining a friendly and fast-paced fundraising team. Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Cultivating and managing an existing portfolio of high-net-worth individuals, charitable trusts, and foundations.
  2. Expanding the pipeline of high-net-worth individuals and charitable trusts by identifying and unlocking networks across our charity, hospitals, supporters, and funder communities.
  3. Soliciting five and six-figure gifts from high-net-worth individuals and charitable trusts, both verbally and through compelling funding proposals.
  4. Supporting the Head of Strategic Projects to identify and develop high-value (six-figure plus) charitable trust and foundation opportunities and bids aligned with the charity\’s ambitions.

About you

To succeed in this role, you must have:

  1. Proven experience of securing five and six-figure gifts from major donors and/or charitable trusts and foundations, from first approach to solicitation and stewardship.
  2. Experience fundraising within complex organisations such as the NHS, Higher Education, or larger charities.
  3. Proven experience managing and developing high-value funder relationships.
  4. Experience of identifying opportunities, matching donor interests with hospital priorities, and developing inspiring asks and proposals.
