Job Description – Joiner Multi Skilled (251036)

Joiner Multi Skilled – Location: Hertfordshire and Essex

Join our properties team across Hertfordshire and Essex as a Joiner Multi Skilled. This permanent, full-time role (37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with on-call rota) offers circa £37,445 per annum, including a van, generous on-call allowance, and benefits such as a Health Cash Plan.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Joiner to carry out high-quality maintenance and repair work in our responsive and void properties. You will work alongside a skilled team to deliver first-time-right repairs, ensuring customer satisfaction and high standards of work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete all allocated joinery jobs to a high standard, ensuring first-time fixes.
  • Perform repairs, maintenance, and refurbishments across properties.
  • Deliver compliant and high-quality work.
  • Utilize multi-skilling to enhance efficiency and reduce repeat visits.
  • Work across properties in Hertfordshire and Essex, with scheduled jobs and clear locations.

Candidate Requirements

  • City and Guilds NVQ Level 3 in carpentry/joinery.
  • Experience in all aspects of joinery within maintenance, including glazing and UPVC windows/doors.
  • Experience in other building trades (multi-skilled).
  • Flexible, proactive, and able to use initiative.
  • Full valid driving licence, as a company van will be provided for work and commuting.

Additional Information

  • Working hours: Monday to Friday, with participation in an out-of-hours rota and additional on-call pay.
  • Based in Welwyn Garden City, working across Hertfordshire and Essex.
  • Ability to use technology for job logging, online learning, and collaboration.
  • Basic DBS check required (paid for by us).
