Job Description – Youth Support Worker
The Role:
We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Youth Support Worker to join our dynamic Youth Work Team. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about working collaboratively with LGBTQ+ young people, especially those who may be harder to reach or face additional barriers.
Many of the young people we support experience complex challenges, including mental health issues stemming from discrimination and LGBTQ+ phobia. Your role will be to help create a safe, affirming environment where they feel heard, supported, and empowered to lead.
What We’re Looking For
A strong commitment to equality, inclusion, and youth empowerment
Experience working with young people, particularly within LGBTQ+ communities
A collaborative, compassionate approach to support work
Creativity and flexibility in engaging with diverse and sometimes vulnerable individuals
Fixed-term, 12-month contract with the potential for extension, subject to funding availability.
Hours – 18.75 hours per week
Salary – £24,570 (pro-rata)
Benefits – 7% Employer pension contribution, cycle to work scheme
