Orka Financial is working with a business that is operating at the cutting edge of modern technology and as a result they are growing rapidly. Due to this significant growth they are looking to bolster their finance team and recruit an experienced, well rounded accountant. The business is based in High Wycombe where they operate 4 days a week in the office with the ability to work 1 from home.
Responsibilities:
• Work with the Group Financial Controller in an entrepreneurial fast-moving environment to support closing and managing projects
• Sales Ledger across the group, ensuring effective credit collections
• Month end closure: accruals, prepayments, fixed assets, balance sheet balances reconciliation
• Responsible for intercompany recharges, monthly reconciliations and foreign exchange updates
• Costs allocation across the Group
• VAT returns and other statutory submissions for UK and overseas subsidiaries
• Provide cover for Accounts Assistant
• Support in Year-End closure and Audit
• Ad hoc duties
Profile:
• Experience of an accounting function in a similar role
• A good working knowledge of Xero
• Exposure to foreign currency transactions
• Excellent Excel skills
• AAT Level 4, ACCA Part Qualified, QBE
• Excellent inter-personal skills and be able to work as part of a cross-functional team
