About the Role
We are looking for a senior QS and also a QS ready to step up to a senior role within the next 6-12 months. Must have a proven track record with a London/UK consultancy. Ideally have attained or be working toward MRICS.
Responsibilities
- Act as the lead commercial function pre and post contract.
- Lead the cost plan compilation, measurement checks and overall benchmarking with support from the QS team.
- Be confident reviewing and commenting on internal documents.
- Lead the interim payment process on complex projects, negotiating with the Contractor.
- Produce cash flow forecasts from first principles.
- Active involvement in change control procedures – valuing change enquiries and employers instructions, including negotiation with Contractor.
- Lead the preparation of large contracts and tenders.
- Have a thorough understanding of the commercial principles of the QS role.
- Line manage more junior members of the QS team, setting targets, holding monthly catch ups and ensuring deadlines are achieved.
Pay range and compensation package
Negotiable depending on level of experience, plus bonus.
