Registered General Nurse (RGN), Eastbourne, BN21 and BN24. RGN position available to support a fabulous young woman with complex care and health needs. Full-time or Part-time permanent position with set shifts. Offering: GBP28.45 Gross per Hour.

Details:

  • Nearest Tube/Station: No local transport links, driver with own car required.
  • Wage/Salary: Day rate: GBP28.45; Night Rate (Midnight to 6.00am): GBP16.45; All figures quoted in gross per hour.
  • Driver Essential? Yes, with own car to travel to and from our client’s home. WAV for use whilst on duty (automatic drive).
  • Essential: NMC Pin Registration, knowledge and experience of dystonia, confident in all aspects of manual handling. Non-smoker / Vaper. This role is open to female applicants only.
  • Desirable: Experience supporting a young person with complex care needs in the community.
  • Start Date: ASAP.

About our client:

Sarah is soon to be 30 and currently lives with her parents in her childhood home in Eastbourne. She will be moving into her own fully adapted home in Stone Cross (BN24). Her family and team of PAs and RGNs support her. Sarah enjoys activities like cooking, art classes, gardening, playing drums, music, theatre, yoga, shopping, and people-watching. She has Cerebral Palsy, Scoliosis, and Dystonia, uses a wheelchair, and has a DBS Deep Brain Stimulator. She communicates through sounds and facial expressions, and enjoys engaging conversations.

Role overview:

The RGN will support Sarah\’s health and medical needs, including medication management, vital signs monitoring, and care plan updates. The role involves medical duties and supporting activities of daily living (ADLs) and social outings. Overnight shifts are available, with support via monitor if needed. Initially, support will be provided in her family home. Further details are available upon application.
