Female Team Leader
Location: Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria
Salary: £16 – £21 per hour

If you are seeking a position where you can be instrumental in the set up and running of a care team to achieve the maximum positive impact on the rehabilitation and quality of life to their client, this is the perfect role for you.
The Role
They require a *Female Team Leader with experience of managing a care team to lead the directly employed *Female Rehabilitation Support Workers. You will be required to ensure the team provide a professional and high-quality level of care to Hannah, observing the requirements of the care plan ensuring that the therapy programmes are implemented.
The role of the *Female Team Leader and *Female Rehabilitation Support Workers is to actively encourage Hannah to engage in therapy programmes that will assist her in achieving goals to increase her independence and take on stronger maternal responsibilities, as a mother to her daughter. The *Female Team Leader is essential in monitoring this amongst the team to ensure compliance.
Hannah is very easily influenced by the opinions and thoughts of others and can suffer from low mood; therefore, it is the expectation that candidates always uphold their professional boundaries and positive reinforcement strategies whilst working with her. The *Female Team Leader will be responsible for monitoring Hannah\’s mood and behaviour and feeding back to the MDT.
Available Hours
The *Female Team Leader role is for 41.75 hours each week with a split between hands-on care to the Client and Team Leader duties.
Hands-on Shifts – 37.5 hours per week
08:00 – 20:15 (12 hours 15 minutes per shift) – 2 fixed shifts per week
20:00 – 08.15 (12 hours 15 minutes per shift) – 1 fixed shift per week
Team Leader Hours
6 hours 30 minutes per week will be worked flexibly for the fulfilment of Team Leader administrative duties.
Rates of Pay
Hands-On Hours (07:00 – 23:00)
Monday to Friday: £16.00 per hour
Saturday & Sunday: £18.00 per hour
Sleeping Night (23:00 – 07:00)
Monday to Sunday: £12.21 per hour (National Minimum Wage)
Team Leader Hours
Monday to Sunday: £21.00 per hour
The Client
Hannah is a lady in her 30\’s who suffered a brain injury in 2020 which has left her with a significant visual impairment, compromised coordination in both fine and gross motor skills and increased fatigue. Hannah needs some occasional help with hands-on personal care although help is generally required in a supportive capacity in this area.
Hannah lives at home with her husband and their dog who is very much \’one of the family\’. She is a bubbly lady with a great sense of humour, enjoying banter with those close to her and has a naturally gregarious and mischievous personality. Candidates will need to have a natural sense of fun and zest for life to keep up with Hannah\’s enthusiasm for living life to the full.
Hannah requires support in every area of her activities of daily living including personal care, domestic organisation (washing/cleaning/cooking), mealtimes, mobilising safely, driving, scheduling her timetable and activities, using electronic devices and caring for her dog.
Hobbies and Interests
Hannah likes to be busy and enjoys being out and about in the community accessing leisure and recreational facilities, going shopping, for coffee with friends and spending time with her family, especially her young daughter. Hannah likes to present herself well; she has a particular interest in fashion and likes to have her nails manicured and painted regularly. She likes to make sure her home is cosy and comfortable.
Hannah also loves to go out in the evenings to bowling or bingo, going for day\’s out as well as enjoying short breaks and holidays within the UK and abroad. Candidates must hold a full, clean, manual driving licence and be happy to drive Hannah\’s vehicle.
Skills and Qualifications

* Ability to manage the rota, annual leave, sickness absence, and undertake clinical supervisions with the team.
* Experience of managing medication, equipment, and take financial responsibility for all Client-related expenditure.
* Proficient at ensuring standards of care are maintained, training is kept up-to-date and protocols observed.
* Be proficient at managing all aspects associated with owning a vehicle; ensuring the disability badge, MOT and service records are up to date.
* Experience in working in a personal family home would be an advantage.
* Motivational skills in creating a positive atmosphere on challenging days where her mood can get low.
* Experience of working with Clients with sustained brain injury
* Flexibility to accompany Hannah on short breaks and holidays.
* Ability to build relationships with the family and MDT, whilst maintaining professional boundaries.
* Willingness to assist with personal care.
