Salary: £90-£100 per day (Depending on experience)

GSL Education are seeking a passionate Early Years Practitioner (Level 2 or 3) to join a primary/nursery setting in Newhaven. This is an amazing opportunity for someone who enjoys supporting young children and helping them develop in a safe and encouraging environment.

As an Early Years Practitioner, you will play a key role in supporting children’s learning and development. You will work closely with the team to provide stimulating activities that promote growth and confidence in children.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting children in their daily activities and learning experiences.
  • Helping to plan and deliver fun, age-appropriate activities.
  • Observing children’s progress and sharing information with the team.
  • Ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all children.
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and social skills.
  • Working alongside parents and carers to support children’s needs.

What we are looking for:

  • A Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years, Childcare, or Childhood Studies, or an equivalent recognised qualification.
  • Experience working with young children in a nursery, preschool, or similar setting is desirable.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
  • A strong understanding of safeguarding and child welfare.
  • An Enhanced DBS certificate on the Update Service or willingness to apply through GSL Education.
