Regional Distribution Manager – South East
Following notable underwriting growth and investment, we have created a new role in our Distribution leadership team. You will manage a team of Account Managers, leading broker/client management and distribution strategy across the South East. Partnering with local major trading, tier 1, and development brokers, you\’ll oversee relationships, ensuring key business metrics are achieved to support our UK business plan, covering property, casualty, and motor products.
Your Role:
Strategy and Planning
- Design the Distribution Proposition, including action plans and scorecards for key brokers, aligned with underwriting strategy and regional business plans.
- Monitor and report on broker plans (new business, product density, renewal retention), addressing underperformance.
- Engage with brokers to understand their strategies and needs, aligning them with QBE\’s strategy.
- Coordinate with the Distribution and Partnership Management team to ensure alignment with global and UK objectives.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and briefing papers for meetings and conferences, presenting activity updates as needed.
- Lead internal and external meetings, including broker workshops and strategic discussions.
- Manage the Broker panel to meet business objectives.
- Establish clear accountabilities and support to achieve objectives, with goals documented in Workday.
- Oversee employee engagement, talent development, and performance within the team, fostering a culture of accountability.
About You:
- Experience in commercial insurance broking, account management, or underwriting.
- Strong relationship management and distribution experience in insurance.
- People management skills to lead and support teams.
- Ability to present to senior stakeholders internally and externally.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize effectively.
