Role Overview
This is a Junior to Mid level role to lead the creation of our internal 3D asset library using both automated and manual capture techniques. You\’ll operate our cutting-edge scanning robot for smaller objects while conducting manual photogrammetry for larger items using a DSLR and Ring Flash. Working with industry-standard software (Metashapes & Reality Capture) and our proprietary MARSO pipeline, you\’ll ensure consistently high-quality output that meets rigorous industry standards. This position offers unique exposure to advanced capture technology and workflows.
Key Responsibilities
You\’ll manage our automated scanning robot ensuring it is always occupied with things to scan. Quality control of photogrammetry is crucial – you\’ll optimize 3D meshes, verify PBR materials out of Marso, and maintain our high standards throughout the pipeline. You\’ll also source new objects for scanning and collaborate with our engineering team to refine capture processes. The role combines technical expertise with creative problem-solving to deliver exceptional 3D assets.

An Example of Processing Assets :
Primary Responsibilities
- 3D Scan assets using a DSLR and ring flash, in the studio and on location
- Set up and process scans using a robot-controlled scanning system
- Process and refine photogrammetry scans to ensure high-quality mesh generation and precise alignment
- Navigate M-XR\’s data pipeline, including our proprietary software Marso
- Source and acquire diverse objects for scanning to expand our asset library
- Perform texture cleanup and refinement on scan data where necessary
- Enhance and modify scans with additional features as needed
- Maintain quality control throughout the asset creation pipeline
Technical Skills
- Proven experience with photogrammetry software: Agisoft Metashape & Reality Capture
- Proficiency in Blender for 3D modeling and editing
- Basic Python programming knowledge
- Expertise in 3D retopology techniques
- Texture cleanup and optimization skills
Photography Skills – Strong understanding of photography fundamentals:
