Senior Claims Adjuster – Financial Lines

Role Summary
A leading Lloyd’s syndicate seeks a Senior Claims Adjuster to join its Specialty claims team, focusing on Financial Lines. The successful candidate will manage a diverse portfolio of Financial Institutions (FI) and Professional Indemnity (PI) claims from initial notification through to resolution.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing and adjusting Financial Lines claims, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
- Maintaining accurate and sufficient financial provisions for all assigned claims.
- Utilising claims management systems, including Docusoft and ECF, to efficiently process and report on claims.
- Contributing to the team's knowledge base by sharing expertise and insights on claims trends and best practices.
- Establishing and maintaining reserves for complex and large claims.
- Carrying out negotiations with Brokers, face to face when required.
- Representing the syndicate at market meetings, and leading meetings where appropriate.
Key Requirements
- Extensive experience in handling Financial Lines claims, particularly FI and PI, within the London / Lloyd's market.
- Solid understanding of policy coverage, claims negotiation strategies, and legal / regulatory issues.
- Handling complex claims through discovery process, dispute resolution, mediation, court and obtaining judgement.
- Knowledge of different international legal systems is highly desirable.
