Liability Claims Adjuster
London
Negotiable Salary + Excellent Benefits
We are currently recruiting for a Liability Claims Adjuster on behalf of our client, a very well-established and highly regarded Company Market Insurer.
The successful candidate will handle a portfolio of Liability Claims (EL/PL and Product Liability) from first advice through to settlement within their designated authority.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertaking an initial evaluation of cause of loss to determine whether a claim is covered.
- Deciding the company’s response to claims, based on the correct interpretation of policy and underwriting documentation; investigating, negotiating and settling claims.
- Assisting in setting accurate, realistic and timely claims reserves.
- Liaising with Clients, Loss Adjusters, Solicitors, Experts, Brokers, MGAs and TPAs as appropriate for claims service and investigation.
- Reviewing MI for accuracy and liaising with TPAs, Loss Adjusters and other parties as required to ensure the MI accurately reflects the claims data.
- Liaising with Underwriters and Risk Managers, Finance, Management, Home Office and with network (Servicing and/or Producing offices).
Key Requirements
- Experience of the UK Market in Public Liability, Products Liability, and Employers Liability.
- Experience of reviewing and managing MI.
- Experience of litigated and non-litigated claims.
- Experience of inquests and regulatory investigations.
