Are you an experienced and passionate Primary Teacher looking for flexible work opportunities? GSL Education is currently recruiting qualified teachers to join our supply team in Portsmouth. This role allows you to work on an as-needed basis to cover sickness and staff absences in various local primary schools.

Position: Supply Primary Teacher
Location: Schools across Portsmouth
Salary: £120 – £150 per day (dependent on experience)
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Type: Flexible, Supply Basis

Role Overview:
As a Supply Primary Teacher, you will provide essential cover for absent staff, stepping into different classrooms to deliver engaging lessons and maintain a positive learning environment. You’ll be working with diverse groups of students and ensuring continuity in their education while delivering the school’s curriculum.

Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver lessons in the absence of permanent teachers, covering different year groups and subjects.
• Adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of students, including those with SEN (Special Educational Needs).
• Create a supportive and safe classroom environment where students can learn and grow.
• Monitor and assess student progress, offering guidance and feedback.
• Maintain classroom discipline and act as a positive role model.
• Collaborate with the school staff for smooth transitions and to ensure high standards of learning.

What We’re Looking For:
• A qualified teacher with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status).
• Prior experience teaching primary-aged children.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• A flexible and adaptable approach to teaching across various settings.
• The ability to engage and motivate students of all abilities.
• Immediate availability to start work on a supply basis.
