The Opportunity

Entasis Partners is supporting a well-known UK university as they reshape their digital landscape and move towards a more integrated, insight-driven operating model.

Following a significant restructure, our client is building an architecture capability from the ground up, and they’ve asked us to help them land it well. We’re now looking for a versatile and experienced Enterprise Architect to join Entasis Partners as an associate.

The Enterprise Architect will assess, shape, and steer strategy across core domains: application, integration, data, tooling, and process.

You’ll be working alongside a newly hired permanent Solution Architect, reporting into the Director, and embedding best practice into an environment moving from reactive siloes to proactive, joined-up delivery.

Key Focus Areas for the Enterprise Architect

  • Establish architectural oversight across application, integration, data, and tooling estates
  • Define high-level roadmaps and prioritise architecture effort to deliver meaningful business impact
  • Support the university’s digital transformation objectives with a focus on user-centric service design
  • Advise on architecture tooling (e.g., Bizdesign, LeanIX, Ardoq) and build early-stage maturity using pragmatic approaches (e.g., Visio-based modelling)
  • Collaborate with internal BAs, developers, and delivery teams to land fit-for-purpose designs and integration strategies
  • Help assess and define the future state for CRM and internal product platforms, focusing on longevity and adaptability
  • Provide coaching and mentorship to support internal capability uplift (especially around the new Solution Architect role)

What We’re Looking For from the Enterprise Architect

  • Strong track record in Enterprise Architecture across the application and integration space
  • Previous experience within or alongside the Higher Education sector is a bonus
  • Able to work across strategy and delivery, you\’re comfortable in ambiguity but structured in approach
  • Familiar with enterprise tooling and architecture maturity modelling, but pragmatic enough to start small and scale
  • Strong communicator and stakeholder engager – able to build trust and influence in complex, change-heavy environments
  • Comfortable working in hybrid models, ideally able to attend key workshops or meetings onsite when needed

Why Entasis Partners?

We specialise in Strategy & Architecture – it’s all we do.

We work with organisations going through real change and help them shape what’s next.

You’ll be part of a trusted network of expert architects and strategists, no fluff, just good people doing great work.
