Technical Architect – Identity & Access Management – Up to £75k + 25% bonus
We’re partnered with a well-regarded UK-based consultancy expanding its External Identity capability. They\’re looking for a hands-on Technical Architect with strong experience in Identity & Access Management (IAM) and cloud-based authentication to help design, build, and deliver secure external user identity solutions.
You’ll play a key role in shaping client architectures, working closely with developers and stakeholders to deliver modern, standards-based solutions across a range of industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and define secure IAM architectures for external user platforms
- Lead technical delivery of identity solutions using Microsoft cloud technologies
- Implement features hands-on (C#, .NET, Azure AD B2C/B2B, custom APIs)
- Contribute to project planning, timelines, and technical documentation
- Support occasional pre-sales work and proposal input
- Act as a subject matter expert on identity standards and practices
- Mentor team members and contribute to knowledge sharing
Required Experience
- Strong hands-on experience with Azure Active Directory , especially B2C or B2B implementations
- Solid programming background in C# , .NET , ASP.NET Core
- Familiarity with OAuth 2.0 , OpenID Connect , and SAML protocols
- Web development understanding (HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript)
- SQL Server experience and database integration skills
- Comfortable working in Agile/Scrum teams
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Additional Requirements
- Candidates must hold active Security Clearance (SC) or be eligible to obtain SC clearance
- Eligibility requires having lived in the UK for the last 5 years , with no more than 30 consecutive days outside the UK during that period
- Candidates must have the full right to work in the UK without sponsorship
Desirable Skills
- Familiarity with identity platforms like Auth0 , Okta , or IdentityServer
- Broader knowledge of the Microsoft stack (Blazor, App Services, Graph API)
- Previous consultancy or client-facing experience
- Ability to lead small technical teams or projects
Additional Details
- The role is primarily remote, but occasional and sporadic visits to client sites are required to support end-user engagements and project needs.
- The performance bonus is linked to billable hours spent directly with clients, rewarding your active contribution to delivery.
