A foster carer is a family or individual who opens their home to support young people who are not able to live with their birth families. Fostering a child comes with great responsibility and understanding that each young person needs support and nurturing. Generous fostering allowance – average of £24,700 (equivalent of earning £30,000 with the Governments favourable tax allowances for Foster Carers) – Dependent on Location.
